German Shepherd fans gathered in the verdant hills around Lake Geneva a the Lodge at Lake Geneva for the 2010 USA Sieger Show. As usual, we were greated by a light rain. However, the cool, cloudy weather was just perfect for the dogs.
As the last sweet tones of Tessa Martinez' acappella rendition of the Star Spangled Banner drifted across the lake, we started with the puppy classes. Tessa just graduated eighth grade and is handling in this show.
We will be posting the un-official class results as we get them. The Peformance Tests with National Helpers Lionel Madden and Charles Otteston will start at 3pm Central time. We will be posting those results live from ring-side.
Keep Checking the Entries page for the current results.
Follow us on Twitter at SchutzhundUSA -- We will post a message when each class result is posted.

The host hotel, The Lodge at Geneva, has been going out of their way to make this a great event.
They are just completing the new ring and the final class of the show will be starting in a few minutes ...

1:00pm -- the double handlers are all hooting, hollering, honking and whistling. Judges are moving dogs up and down the line. Weather is great -- partly sunny, low 70's and relatively low humidity.
They are awarding trophies!
A great Sieger Show! Thanks to all organizers, the host hotel, the exhibitors and of course, the DOGS!
See you next year!
This is Nero. He's an Iraq war vet. While on duty his spine was broken in a bomb-blast He was healed but the vertebra in his lower back are fused. Faced with euthanasia for this guardian of our troops, the Navy contacted Save-A-Vet for help in placing him in a retirement home. Now 9, he is their spokesdog -- meeting and greeting people and cadging more than a few treats. Save-A-Vet is one of vendors at this year's Sieger Show.
As guardians of the breed, it is our duty to continue to create dogs with the temperament and drive to do the traditional jobs of the German Shepherd.
